Plautilla. Denarius; Plautilla; New-style Eastern Mint, 202 AD, Denarius, 3.08 g. 20 mm BM-739, C-8, RIC-372. Obv: PLAVTILLA AVG Bust draped r. Rx: CONCO - R - DIAE Concordia seated l. holding patera and double cornucopia.

Scarce: about 18 specimens in Reka Devnia hoard. Apparently Plautilla's earliest type at the Eastern mint, using an obverse legend that never occurs at Rome. Before long the Eastern mint changed to the Roman legend PLAVTILLAE AVGVSTAE, and a little later the mint was closed because the imperial family returned to Rome..
