Caecilia Paulina was the wife of Maximinus I, who most likely passed away before her husband's brutal coup in 235. Though little is known about her life, she at least bore one son, Maximus, who later became Caesar. Given the importance of the imperial family in Roman ideology, Maximinus posthumously elevated his wife to the purple.
