1/16 sheqel, King Evagoras, 346–343 BC, AR 0.73 g. 10 mm Galley l., with oars, rudder and row of shields; below, wavy lines; above, star and probably to its l. Dotted border. Rev. Bearded figure r., fighting lion standing before him on his hind legs, seizing its forelock with l. hand, and holding dagger in r. Between them, the letters ‘Ayin ‘Ayin. Square incuse. Elayi and Elayi 2004, Pl. LIII, No. 1749, p. 424. off strike reverse but extermely fine for issue.
