Carausius. Romano-British Emperor. 286-293 AD. AE Antoninianus (5.19 g, 21.5 mm). Uncertain mint. Obv.: IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate and draped bust right. Rev.: PAX AV[G], Pax standing left, holding olive branch and transverse scepter. RIC 895. From the Dr. Malcolm Lyne Collection, purchased from Baldwin’s, 26 April 2000. Toned partial silvering and dark brown patina, light porosity, gVF.
