Caracalla, 28 January 198 - 8 April 217 A.D.
This interesting reverse composition commemorates the wars in northern Britain. The two outer figures are holding reeds, the rivers probably being Tyne and Eden, while the third, central female figure must be Britannia.

Silver denarius, SRCV II 6865, RIC IV 96, RSC III 441, VF, Rome mint, 2.04 g, 19 mm, 207 A.D.; obverse ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate bust right; reverse PONTIF TR P X COS II, Caracalla in military dress, standing half-left, head turned right, spear in right, parazonium in left, at feet two reclining river-gods and seated female;
