Augustus. Silver Denarius (3.32 g, 19 mm), 27 BC-AD 14. Scarce. Lugdunum, 15-13 BC. AVGVSTVS DIVI F, bare head of Augustus right. Reverse IMP X low across field, ACT in exergue, Actian Apollo standing facing, head left, holding a plectrum and lyre. RIC 171a; BMC 461; RSC 144. Very fine. The reverse commemorates the victory of Augustus over Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium on 2 September 31 BC
