This interesting type was minted to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the victory of Marcus Agrippa over Sextus Pompey in the sea Battle of Naulochos in Sicily, on 3 September 36 BC, through the assistance of Diana. This battle marked the end of the Pompeian resistance against the Second Triumvirate.
