KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.16 g, 11 h), uncertain mint in northwestern Asia Minor, circa 220-190 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPO[Y] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right. Price -. Apparently unpublished and with a bold head of Herakles. Minor marks and with very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
