Domitian was the last of the "Twelve Caesars." The ancient author, Suetonius, in his frank appraisal of the first twelve Caesars and their families, tells his readers how fond Domitian was of "bed-wrestling." This included his attentions paid to his niece, Julia Titi, who is portrayed on this denarius. Julia was the daughter of Titus and Marcia Furnilla .
